Gaspard Ulliel (Hannibal Lecter). Gaspard is a French actor, born in Hauts-de-Seine in 1984. His passion is in directing, but he has made a career as a successful actor. He first appeared on screen at 12 years of age in the French television movie Une Femme En Blanc. He performed a number of similar roles before being brought to the attention of prestigious director Michel Blanc. It was his role in the 2004 movie A Very Long Engagement that catapulted him to fame. He become a well-known name on the French movie scene. He won the award of Most Promising Male Newcomer at the much-coveted César awards, which are the French equivalent of the Academy Awards. His first major English language role was Hannibal Rising. He is currently in a relationship with French actress Gaëlle Piétri, and they are expecting their first child in 2016.

Gong Li (Lady Murasaki). Li is a Chinese actress and she is credited with helping bring Chinese movies to a European and North American audience.
